Line upon line

Line upon Line

A view from the airplane below. See the rain?

Up up & away! Of all the many things that the Wright's enjoy doing, flying is one of them. Appropriate last name for Joshua, don't you think? Laugh! Joshua has been identifying airplane and parts of the airplane at around 18 months. This is Joshua's passion. When he saw his first airplane, his eyes turned as big as silver dollars. We have been going to airshows and air museums ever since. Joshua has been on about 14 flights now and has outgrown 2 of his bomber jackets and is on his third. When he says his prayers at night, he blesses the big airplanes and the little airplanes. We look for every chance we get to get him up in the air and he averages about 3 to 4 times a year. When he was not even 2 years old yet, they had an air show in Riverside. We met Dan there which owns his own plane and he agreed to take Joshua up for a (loop) around the airport. Dan told me that typically children are affraid to fly in small airplanes until they are around at least 3 to 4 years old and he asked me if I thought he would do allright. I was certain he would do fine and when they landed on the ramp, Dan told me he just soaked it all in and was facinated with the whole experience. Once I discovered that Joshua loved airplanes, I use to take him to the local airport for breakfast once a week to watch airplanes take off and land. Well we became regulars and some of the retired pilots really enjoyed witnessing his love for airplanes since it brought them back to their time when they were the young 3 year old boy loving airplanes. He made quite a few friend there before we moved to Az. We still fly now, and Logan and I manage to tag along. Logan and mom have fun too. These are some of the highlights Joshua lives for. Another thing we manage to do as a family from time to time.
